Formatting of product names

The branding of Dürr products – both machinery and plants – as well as its services depends on the Dürr logo and the formatting of product names. Together with the Dürr logo, the formatting makes Dürr products highly recognizable. The systematic approach is applied across all communication media.

Product name system

The formatting of Dürr product names is characterized by a change in font style from DIN Bold to Regular. The product group is set in DIN Pro Bold, the following product name in DIN Pro Regular. This standardized system is used to make the Dürr product and the Dürr brand easy to recognize.

Basic principle behind the design of product names – product labeling changes from DIN Pro Bold to DIN Pro Regular. This principle is continued across all divisions. However, there can be differences in the detail, which are described below. The coloring is always uniform and matches the text color.

Product names in use – The change from Bold to Regular is also retained within a text format, regardless of the basic formatting. The color of the product name matches the specified text color. In the example:

Product names in Office applications

In Office applications, Arial is used instead of DIN Pro. The change from Bold to Regular is retained, as are other features such as spaces and copyright symbols. The styles and formatting of the product names are also used in headlines and copy.

Digital products

The DXQ brand homogenizes our naming system for digital products across all business units. Standardizing the names gives structure to our portfolio and makes it easier for our customers to browse our extensive offering. The system is also flexible enough to cope with future products. DXQ stands for Dürr’s digital intelligence and represents our distinctive competence in the digitalization of manufacturing processes.

Components of the wordmark – DXQ product group for use as a standalone wordmark. The topic of digitalization is underscored by the accent color Digital Light Blue.

Parallel construction – The tail of the Q is derived from the tail of the X.

Variants of DXQ – Standalone wordmark (A), wordmark with claim (B), wordmark as a combination of product group and individual product (C). All variants should be placed as a vector file except when used within text blocks.

DXQ claim – The top and bottom edges of the claim and wordmark are in line with each other. The claim is consistently formatted on three lines. On the third line, the text color changes from Digital Light Blue to Basic Gray.
