Signage system

Signage and guidance systems help visitors and employees to find their way around the interior and exterior areas of Dürr sites. The columns and signs also represent the Dürr brand. The standardized use of the basic elements ensures that the corporate design can be recognized across all the sites.

NOTE
In 2021, the design of the signage system was given a face-lift. Please note that only one version and one set of materials should be used at each site. Existing systems should be extended in the same style. For new buildings or following extensive renovation work, we recommend upgrading to the latest version.

External signage

At larger Dürr sites, signs direct suppliers, visitors and employees to the delivery zone, the visitors’ parking spaces and the service center. All exterior signs are made from solid, weatherproof materials. The signs have frames that are at least 20 mm thick.

Design principles

As exterior signs have to be read quickly, they contain only the logo, the directional arrows and the names of the locations. For important buildings or rooms, icons in the Dürr style can be used (> Icons). The colors must be based on the Dürr corporate design colors (> Colors). The DIN Pro font must be used throughout (> Typography). The font sizes are guidelines and, if necessary, can be adapted to the local conditions. The following descriptions apply in modified form to all signs at Dürr sites.

Components

The logo is aligned flush left with the dark-colored area. The distance above and below corresponds with the logo minimum distance. (> Logo)

The sign has a maximum of three content areas. Area A is reserved for the directional arrows, area B for the icons and area C for the text. On monoliths there must be additional clear space between the edge of the column and the arrows (A) and the icons (B).

Large monolith

Large monolith – The monoliths are free-standing and have lettering on the front (A) and the back (B). The font size is 240 pt. The size of the format is:

  2. Height: 3,600 mm

Small monolith

Small monolith – The monoliths are free-standing and have lettering on the front (A) and the back (B). The font size is 120 pt. The size of the format is:

  1. Width: 600 mm
  2. Height: 1,800 mm

Parking lot signs

Parking lot signs – These signs have lettering on one side only. The font size is 160 pt. The text is centered in the gray area under the parking lot symbol. The size of the format is:

  1. Width: 600 mm

Wall-mounted direction signs

Wall-mounted direction signs – The font size is 240 pt. If space is limited, the icon column can be removed. The size of the format is:

Wall-mounted building signs

Wall-mounted building signs – The font size of the building name (A) is 780 pt. The font size of the description (B) is 240 pt. The text is centered in the gray area under the building name. The size of the format is:

Interior signs

Interior direction signs have the same appearance as the exterior signs, but they stand on a base or are wall-mounted or suspended from the ceiling. The Dürr logo is not used. The story number and the building name are often added to the signs.

Monolith

The monoliths are free-standing and have text on both sides. The size of the format is:
